About Dr. Hickner
Mary Hickner DPM is a board certified podiatrist, owner and founder of Fitchburg Podiatry LLC. Dr. Hickner grew up in Grand Rapids, MI, and attended the University of Michigan where she double majored in Biology and French. She attended Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago. She completed a three year surgical residency with Certification in Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery at Swedish Northshore Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Hickner achieved board certification in 2020 by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and is a participating Fellow of the American College of Podiatric Medicine. She is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Wisconsin Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Hickner’s clinical interests include heel pain, diabetic foot ulcers, toenail problems, skin problems of the feet, sports injuries, biomechanical issues, bunions, hammertoes, and more!
